Artwork Upload Guidelines

1. The Best Files for Your Prints

To get the sharpest print, a vector file (like AI, SVG, or EPS) is the best choice. If you don't have a vector file, please send a high-quality PNG file with a clear background.

2. Our Printing Colors

Color Considerations DTF is limited to the CMYK range. Bright RGB screen colors may not match in print, and neon or shiny tones cannot be made. Use CMYK-safe colors for a closer match.

3. Line Thickness Matters

Small, separate lines in a design can be tricky. To make sure every part of your art transfers perfectly, please check that all thin lines are no smaller than 0.019". This helps them stick to the shirt properly.

4. For a Clear Print

For the best results, your picture should be sharp and clear. We recommend using an image with a quality of 300 DPI. Our website will check your file and let you know if the quality is not high enough for a great print.

5. A Lighter Feeling Print

Designs with more empty spaces and gaps feel lighter and more comfortable to wear. These open areas in your art also make the final print feel much softer, blending in nicely with the fabric.

6. Clean Edges for a Perfect Print

When you send us a PNG file, please check the edges of your artwork. If the edges are blurry, faded, or see-through, our printer might add a thin white line around your design. For the best result, make sure all the edges of your art are sharp and solid.

7. For Designs with Faded Edges

If your artwork has soft, glowing, or faded-out edges, they may print with a faint white outline. To achieve a beautiful fade without this "halo" effect, we suggest using a special design trick called halftoning. This technique uses a pattern of dots to create a smooth fade that our printers can handle perfectly.

8. No Backgrounds, Please!

Our printing process transfers the entire image you send us directly onto the fabric. This means if your design file has a solid background (even a white one), that background will be printed too. For the best results, please be sure to remove the background before uploading.

9. A Guide to Accurate Color Matching

DTF-Factory is not responsible for color differences between your digital artwork and the DTF transfer. Our printers are calibrated to CIELAB colors, but your monitor may not be. PLEASE USE HEX NUMBERS IN THE COLOR GUIDE TO MAKE SURE YOU GET THE COLORS THAT YOU NEED. For a closer color match, you can also choose one of these options: I. Use an IPS monitor (this will not be a perfect match). II. Get your monitor calibrated to CIELAB. III. Email [] to request Pantone-matching services. IV. Purchase a printed Color Swatch to choose colors from when designing.
